Why?
I’ve been blogging for a while over at aldenswan.com on boring issues like religion, politics and intelligent design. It occurred to me that it’s about time I took on a more controversial issue, something that people could really get into. I finally decided I should start a blog dealing with classic rock music. It’s something that I have definite opinions about, as do many people. And, classic rock music is divisive, it’s combative, it’s – well, it’s classic rock music. Nothing like this wimpy stuff they call alternative. I mean, get real… bands like Tool can’t hold a candle to Black Sabbath or Deep Purple.
So, subscribe to this feed, and get ready for some knock-down, no holds barred discussion about the force behind the cultural revolution that produced the great society that we have today.
p.s. You’re probably also asking, “why did this idiot misspell klassic roc?” The answer is quite simple, really. I was looking for good urls, and was trying to decide between a cool independent domain name (which I’m still considering) and a simple (free) WordPress url. As you can see, I went for the cheap option. The only problem was, the good names were taken. I really wanted crock (the “c” for classic, you know), but as that name was gone, I went for the “k”. Then, I typed too fast and left off the final “k”, so here we are. As the url is “kroc” I decided to pretend it was all intentional, and so I misspelled the blog title to match. The best ideas always start out as mistakes.
